• Practice session data — exercises completed, scores, accuracy metrics, and time spent practicing
• Learning progress — lessons completed, experience points (XP), streak data, and skill levels
• App interaction events — pages visited, features used, and navigation patterns (collected via Firebase Analytics)
• Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version

1.3 AI Tutor Conversations

When you use our AI Tutor chat feature:

• Chat messages — your messages and the AI’s responses are stored to maintain conversation history
• Voice input — if you use voice input, audio is processed in real-time for speech recognition and is not stored or recorded

1.4 Audio Data

• Microphone input — used for guitar tuning, real-time practice feedback, and voice conversations with the AI tutor. Audio is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or stored.

1.5 Feedback Data

If you submit feedback through the App, we collect the content of your feedback along with your user ID and optional contextual information about the exercise or lesson you were using.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the App’s core functionality, including personalized learning paths, progress tracking, and practice feedback
• Power the AI Tutor — your messages are sent to our AI service to generate relevant guitar instruction responses
• Improve our services — analytics data helps us understand how users interact with the App so we can improve exercises, lessons, and features
• Send notifications — practice reminders and learning encouragement (only with your permission)
• Provide customer support — respond to your feedback and inquiries

We do not use your data for advertising or sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored on servers managed by Google Cloud Platform (Firebase) located in the United States.
• We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), Firebase App Check for API protection, and secure authentication tokens.
• While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

• Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
• Practice and progress data is retained for as long as your account exists to provide continuity in your learning journey.
• Chat history is retained for as long as your account exists so you can revisit past conversations.
• Analytics data is retained according to Firebase Analytics’ default retention policies.

6. Your Rights and Choices

6.1 Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account in the App. When you delete your account, we permanently delete:

• Your authentication credentials
• All personal profile information
• All practice and progress data
• All chat history and AI tutor conversations
• All uploaded files and media
• All locally cached data

Account deletion is irreversible.

6.2 Notification Preferences

You can enable or disable push notifications at any time from the App’s Settings or your device’s system settings.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
